| "Good Evening" 1:53 p.m. - 2005-09-19 I now understand what Michelle was talking about when she had related the incident of the bus driver who made her day. I was taking the 159 bus from Ben's place back home. As I boarded the bus, he said with a smile on his face, 'good evening'. It may not seem like much, but how many bus drivers actually look at you, much less greet you? I returned the gesture with a smile and a nod because I was a little taken aback by the unfamiliar courtesy. This simple act of courtesy, though easily overlooked, put a light on my grim mood. No wonder they say, a small act of courtesy goes a long long way. ;) |
